Paintings can take many forms. My process is working towards a development of color expression using the wood, letting it show the grain, letting the color mimic the grain or otherwise using the wood itself as the inspiration. It is not yet refined, it might never be.

My life has always had a deep connection to design.  I have sketched on paper, painted on various media and created designs in fabric since I can remember, always inspired by color, texture and other cultures.  Each piece reflects a story about souls. You can take from them what you feel. Some souls are lost, some are on a path of rebirth and others may just be numb. My life experiences have added these stories to my pieces that I try to bring to life.

Currently, I am experimenting with acrylic on plywood, adding paper, words and fabrics into the work, intuitively combining all my design disciplines into the mix.  I am still learning about my process, always remembering that I am never done, just working towards the next project.
